At Dissent Off-Road, we pride ourselves on pushing the envelope, and our latest project — a fully customized LX600 — exemplifies our commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. With no bolt-on parts available for this platform, every element was designed and fabricated in-house to achieve a unique and high-performing build. Watch the YouTube Video Overview.
Custom Modifications and Fabrication
This build required extensive custom work, from modular aluminum bumpers, reinforced skid plates to stainless steel snorkels. Due to the twin-intercoolers on this turbo engine it was important to enhance airflow and maintain system integrity, we added louvers and vents strategically throughout the vehicle. The rear bumper, designed for high-clearance, features our best-in-class swing-out system to accommodate an ARB jack, a propane tank, and off-road recovery gear.
Lighting and Electronics
The lighting setup is as functional as it is sleek. Triple Rigid fog lights to match the look of the three projectors in the headlight, a 40" light bar, and custom roof rack lighting ensures visibility in any condition. All wiring has been meticulously routed to maintain a clean, OEM-like appearance. We integrated the advanced RedArc control system, enabling seamless management of lights, power outlets, and auxiliary systems.
Performance Upgrades
The LX600 retains its hydraulic auto height control, which offers an impressively smooth ride and adjusts dynamically for optimal ground clearance. We paired Icon Recon SLX wheels with Wildpeak AT4 tires, delivering durability and performance with minimal modifications.
Interior Innovations
Inside, the Air Down Gear Up drawer system houses a fridge, a full kitchen, and a RedArc power management system. A slimline lithium battery and 10-gallon potable water tank are tucked beneath the rear cargo area, maximizing utility without compromising space. The result is a clean, organized setup ready for any adventure.
Stainless steel snorkels were custom-built for durability and reduced intake noise, ensuring a balance between functionality and comfort. The build also includes reinforced step sliders and a no-drill roof rack with aimable lights for ultimate convenience.
A Versatile Overland Platform
As a robust version of the Land Cruiser 300, the LX600 combines luxury with off-road capability. While its base price and modification costs are substantial, the results speak for themselves: a high-performing, custom-built off-road vehicle like no other
